The movie starring Tabu and Ajay Devgn is now officially available in theaters. I find the movie to be below mediocre. I will advise against wasting time and money on a theater ticket in favor of waiting for the OTT release.
A film whose premise and plotline are completely aimless. The narrative is set in the 1990s. The film's slow, infantile 90s style is likewise very dissimilar from rational style. Despite having a lot of well-known actors attached to it, this movie is completely unimpressive. Not much can be said about this movie.
Please don't waste your time or money as the most of the reviews are fraudulent. This movie is great for passing the time or watching OTT content; wait a month for it to be available on OTT platforms. How this movie was released in theaters still baffles me.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha tells a story that resurfaces and impacts Vanraj from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. A husband and his business wife are present. They both reside in a building in Mumbai's most affluent neighbourhood. A resident of Mumbai's "chawl," a slum, could never hope to come here. However, Vasudha makes it there. Her life has continued in this manner for twenty years, with sindoor in her hair parting and a secret kept in her heart.
Krishna, who cherished her, is being let out of prison. He received a 25-year sentence for two murders. However, his sentence has been shortened by almost 2.5 years due to his good behavior. Jigna, a friend, arrives to collect her. The passport is prepared. Vasudha is planning to travel to Dubai on the eve of Doomsday in order to reunite her beloved Krishna with her spouse Abhijeet.
Through Delhi, a youngster from Bihar travels to Mumbai. He is so intelligent that he not only thinks of visiting Germany but almost achieves his goals thanks to his understanding of computer hardware. He develops feelings for Vasudha, a Marathi girl who lives in a chawl. For him, Janmashtami, Diwali, and Holi all occur in a single song, and he longs to spend some quality time with Vasudha before heading to Bangalore.
Vasudha consents, but she ignores Krishna's advice to drop her off in front of the house, and the events that follow alter their lives. Neeraj can't help but think of Ajay Devgan from the movie "Diljale," and at the end of the movie, he plays the song "Jeeta Tha Jiske Liye, Jiske Liye Marta Tha...!"
The movie 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' tells the plot in two distinct timelines. The story is about the same couple in both instances, but Neeraj tells it with the assistance of four different actors. In their respective performances as young Krishna and Vasudha, Shantanu Maheshwari and Sai Manjrekar have conveyed love with incredible vigour. The way Sai Manjrekar walks, stops, blushes, and smiles, as well as her facial expressions, all seem really natural.
She also makes us think of Nutan in certain instances. There is only one possible Vasudha that Neeraj Pandey could have imagined: Sai. With his lengthy hair, Shantanu Maheshwari most definitely does not resemble Ajay Devgan in his youth. What effect would this character have had if Shantanu's appearance throughout the rest of the movie was the same after getting his hair chopped in jail?
Viewers' hearts have been captivated by Ajay Devgan's portrayal of a desperate lover—or rather, a lover who willfully loses all for love. Furthermore, this dates back to the periods of "Dil Hai Betaab," "Bedardi," and "Dilwale" rather than "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam." 'Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha' is a film that fans of Hindi cinema from that era will undoubtedly attend in order to catch a glimpse of the modern Ajay Devgan alongside the Ajay Devgan of that era.
Here, Ajay Devgan has located Vrushali, who starred as Vasudha in the movie "Vijaypath." Undoubtedly, the combination of the two appears really natural. When they finally get together on screen, everything that each of them has in their hearts for the other is ready to come out. However, Neeraj Pandey had to put in a lot of effort in this movie to clarify that the plot of Shantanu Sai's character and Ajay Devgan's role is identical. The continuity crew was equally perplexed as the viewers. The plastic ring that is stored in the safe has a changing color. In the close-up, Krishna, who in the long shot declines to give Vasudha a final embrace, collapses as soon as he places his palm on her back.
